Like many of you out there, I am fascinated by light, and I’m always trying to figure out how to better capture light (and shadow) within the confines of this little black box that is my camera. Shooting several brackets for HDR allows me to capture more of that wonderful light, but even after running those brackets through Photomatix Pro (my preferred HDR tone mapping program), I am still left with a result that is far from what I saw and experienced. No worries, though, as a quick trip to Photoshop lets me refine that flat image into something like you see here.
