Old times they are not forgotten…

I don’t know what it is, but the older I get, the more and more I love the classics: music, architecture, books, gadgets, and cars. Â Maybe that’s why I love Urban Exploration (URBEX), who knows. Â When we were headed back through the city toward the Bay Bridge, I spotted these great classic cars and had to stop to photograph them. Â I would have loved to be able to photograph each and every automobile up close and personal, but it was already closed; there was an amazing old jag on the far end I had my eye on! Â Anybody else out there love the classics like I do? Â Tell me about it and put Â a link to one or two cool old things you’ve photographed recently in your comment.

Good Lord, Jacques, you are speaking to the proverbial car nut here! I love this shot my friend, and like you, just can’t get enough of the classics. We’ve been posting a series taken at a local Antique Truck Show ourselves recently, here is one of the images posted this morning:

Thanks fellas. Cool shots you all included in here. I saw a bunch of stuff out along the highway during our drive back to Redding today and wanted to stop, but knew that would be a tough sell with my family, who were quite eager to get back “home”. Along the way we spotted an old junkyard full of buses from as far back as the 40s and 50s, a cool classic car show in the Historic town of Winters, CA, some cool old farm machinery, rusted out tractors, really cool looking motels and much, much more. Seems there’s quite a bit around here in NorCal, so I’ll be keeping my eye out for sure.

This is a great shot. I love the angle and the composition. Excellent.
