Drink it all in

Just finished the first full day of my Route 66 explore, and man what a day!!  There is just so much to see here, there is no way I’m going to get to experience it all. But that’s okay.  Means there will be plenty of reasons to do it again.  I’ve shot a lot of photographs already, and I’m not sure how I’ll be able to share them all with you over the course of this trip, as I plan to post only one or two shots a day here on the blog.  I shot this one of at Elmer’s Bottle Tree Farm. Pretty interesting place, no?

And here’s a shot of the Wigwam Motel in Rialto.  Stayed here the night I arrived in Santa Monica on Sunday.  Figured it was best to stay outside of LA that night to avoid the Monday rush hour.

Holy cow is there ever a lot going on in that first image! Looks like a pretty cool place to explore. Look forward to the rest of this Route 66 series, man!

Hey there, Heath! It really is sensory overload here on 66. So much to see and photograph that I have to be very selective.

That three farm looks great! lots of colors in the bottles, and i guess it must make an eery sound when the wind blows in them. Thanks for showing us these places!

That looks like a fun place to go shoot. Very cool. Looking forward to see more.

Did you meet Edgar at the Bottle Tree Ranch? He’s a pretty cool old guy just doing what he loves on his little piece of the Mojave. 🙂
