…you blow my mind. Hey, Mickey!

I can’t tell you how liberating it was to make this latest trip to Disney unencumbered by the weight of my DSLR and bag o’ lenses! The iPhone was PLENTY for what I wanted (though I did have my tiny X100 along as back up, just in case). I came back with some real keepers, I believe, and here is one. Instead of having to cull through the normal hundreds of frames I usually shoot on a trip like this with the DSLR, I’ll take the 10 to 15 I shot (and processed) with the iPhone, together with the 10 or so I shot with the X100, upload them to some “book creating” company (Apple or Blurb, unless someone can recommend something better) and voíla! No fuss no muss!

This is awesome. I can’t believe you took this with an iPhone. It just goes to show you it’s the photographer not the equipment.

Thanks so much, Edith! I’m constantly amazed at how useful my iPhone is for me in my photography. I find myself drawn to it far more than to my other cameras, whether DSLR or compacts. As I’ve been shooting with the iPhone and experimenting with post-processing “in-camera” (in iPhone apps), I’ve amassed a nice collection of photographs I hope to continue to share here.

Great shot Something different. Technology! What’s next?
