Hunger

One thing I find I do not do enough is “street photography”.  That is, I don’t spend enough time carrying a camera around with me to document life going on around me wherever I happen to be at the moment.  I’ve decided, in the last week or so, to do just that.  More time exploring, and more time documenting some of what I see.  I’ve also decided to do that with one camera and one lens only, for the time being, in hopes that I will not allow myself to be distracted by my gear.  I also don’t shoot for black and white much, so I’ve been spending a few days trying to do more of that as well.  ll of that said, let’s see how things go.  Here is one I shot this morning while exploring some of the smaller “Sois” (small avenues/side streets) of downtown Bangkok.

I think the inclusion of these black and white images will be a great added value to your blog. This particular one really shows a strong composition, with a good progression of foreground to background subjects. This larger size really shows what that camera can do!

Thanks very much, Luis. As I hinted before, I’m very, very impressed with that camera and what it can do. Most importantly, it has me out shooting, which is the who point, right?
