“Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than those you did. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from safe harbor. Catch the wind in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” ~ Mark Twain, Great American Writer
It’s been about seven months since my last post here on the site, primarily because I’m not sure people hit the web as much as they do other social media; in fact I’ve been posting as @jacquesgude on Instagram pretty regularly. Still, I suppose I could still keep this site alive. A lot has happened since the last time I posted here, in fact so much that it would take quite some time to even spell all of that out here. I’m still a lover of all things URBEX (Urban Exploration) and, of course, high-quality HDR (High-Dynamic range) photography. but I’ve also branched out to Drone Photography (or Unmanned Aerial Vehicle, aka Unmanned Aerial Systems for those who prefer those terms). I’ve posted a shot I captured this week and post-precessed with my current favorite HDR processing software, Skylum’s (company formerly known as Macphun) Aurora HDR 2019; I’ve owned every version of Aurora HDR and THIS one is just incredible. Some things I love about it are: 1) Incredibly awesome, natural looking results…FAST!! 2) no noise in the processed image automatically! 3) And what Skylum calls its Quantum HDR Engine™ tone-mapping ability, which basically means that as soon as you merge your photos (either a single RAW file or two or more bracketed files) Aurora HDR 2019, the image has far more detail and looks incredibly realistic, even before you start editing! Honestly, to put it simply, this is HDR done RIGHT!
