I’ve been passionate about photography as far back as I can remember, and love photographing just about anything I can get in front of my camera lens, be that landscapes, people, or street photography. If I could only shoot one thing for the rest of my life, though, it would be anything abandoned and likely forgotten… that is, Urban Exploration – or URBEX. I’m also VERY passionate about sharing my art and knowledge with others, so if you want to grow as a photographer or in your appreciation of photography, I’m your man.
C’est Moi!
Your blog header image is an outstanding example of the power of HDR to convey images.
Thank you, Wayne. That shot is from one of my favorite URBEX sites, Beelitz-Heilstätten, Germany, and old Tuberculosis sanatorium.
Jacques – I loved looking through your HDR photography. Your work is exceptional and an inspiration. Relatively new to HDR photography myself, I really appreciate great work when I see it. I have done a fair bit of large format printing of HDR URBEX photography (for someone in this field you probably know, check it out here: http://www.skylightpublishing.com/artist-gibb-1.htm), and if you ever want any fine quality large format printing done yourself , PLEASE let me know. I would love to print your work for you. Would you consider taking me around some of the abandoned locations you use?
Great choice on the new blog header image, Jacques. I’m looking forward to more of your images of locales in the U.S.
Would love see a tutorial or 2 by you Jacques to see how you put your unique spin on processing HDR.
Bob
hi daddy love your image
Thanks, my Coley!
I am commenting from London. I think the images you have shown are really stunning. I like the high dynamic range approach you adopt to convey the beauty of what can be day to day images.
Thank you, Andrew. Great to hear from London.
